Birth Registration and Birth Declaration Appointment Information
The birth of your baby must be registered within 42 days (6 weeks).
Birth Registration (for babies born within Staffordshire)
If your child was born in Staffordshire, we are able to complete a registration appointment and provide you with birth certificates within a 42 day period.
Staffordshire Registration Service works in partnership with Wolverhampton Registration Service. This means if your child was born in Wolverhampton, you can register the birth at an office within Staffordshire
Birth Declaration (for babies born outside of Staffordshire)
If your child was born in a hospital / area outside of Staffordshire, we are able to provide a declaration appointment. This means we will forward the relevant information to the district where the birth occurred for regsitration to take place. We are unable to issue birth certificates at the time of the appointment.

Once your appointment has been made you will be given a reference number; please keep this safe as it will be required if you wish to amend or cancel your appointment.
