Death Registrations

From Monday 9th September 2024, all deaths which are not investigated by a Coroner, must be reviewed by an NHS Medical Examiner before registration can take place.

If you need to register a death, please read and follow the below to enable the registration to take place.

  • A Registration Officer will contact you once the Medical Certificate or relevant Coronial paperwork has been received and triaged to arrange an appointment. 
  • You will receive a phone call from a member of the team to book an appointment or an email  will be sent advising how you can book on online.
  • Please note, we are unable to proceed booking an appointment until the medical certificate has been received from either the Medical Examiner or the Coroner's Office.
